Launch of the Professional Cheerleading Qualification
Today we announce the launch of the very first qualification for professional cheerleaders, which require passing a thorough practical and theory assessment for all professional cheerleaders who want to be a part of the CHEER PRO™ umbrella.
This is an exciting development in the cheerleading industry as the first qualification of it's kind, to recognise the highest standard of professional cheerleading in the UK and Europe. Following the accreditation of the Cheerobics® Instructor certification which awards participants with 16CPD points from SkillsActive, we are working towards achieving an equal standard of recognition for our thoroughly developed program.
The CHEER PRO™ Certificate of Professional Achievement in Professional Cheerleading tests all skill aspects and knowledge of cheerleaders including:
Cheerleading technique
Dance technique
Performance skills
Cheerleading knowledge
CHEER PRO™ standards of professional cheerleading
CHEER PRO™ principles and regulations
Team management
Basics of Social Media engagement
Basics of Marketing for Sports
This CHEER PRO™ qualification is currently in process for all members of the Zoo Fever London Cheerleaders team, and we look forward to working with more teams in the future to help develop standards of professional cheerleading in the UK, Europe and the Middle East. To be eligible for the CHEER PRO™ Certificate of Professional Achievement in Professional Cheerleading, cheerleaders must apply by video through their current team with a minimum of 12 cheerleaders.
All cheerleaders (or the club on their behalf) are required to pay for the certification which includes a 4 hour clinic, access to online learning materials, theory and practical examinations which are submitted via video. To be eligible for the certificate, cheerleaders must receive a minimum of 75 points out of 100 for each of the 2 assessments and have a valid CHEER PRO™ membership which gives them access to video tutorials at a cost of £6.99 per month.
Once an individual club has a minimum of 10 qualified cheerleaders, they will be recognised as an official CHEER PRO™ team and be eligible to receive bookings through our headquarters and be official representatives of the company. For more information please contact cheerpro@cheerobics.net
