Social Media Mentors is a development of "The Web Doctor" consultancy which was created by Jessica Zoo in 2008. The Web Doctor brand looked at all aspects of online communications: Web design, online marketing, SEO and Social Media. It is in the latter category that Jessica found her real niche and area of expertise: helping her clients understand how Social Media can really benefit their business and devising strategies, mentorship and training for their specific needs.

In 2013, Jessica decided to focus on the area which she enjoyed the most and for which she received the most demand and enthusiasm from her clients. Knowing that unity is strength she decided to put together an "A-Team" of digital and marketing experts, to create Social Media Mentors. The company focuses on industry-specific and bespoke social media training & strategy services that focus on the psychology of Social Media to successfully communicate with audiences.

Jessica Zoo ​ Co-Founder, Training & Strategy
Jessica is a seasoned digital marketing professional, specializing in online marketing and branding. She is our SEO, web design and digital marketing specialist, creating digital strategies that naturally extend the marketing objectives of brands. She loves to work with companies that need support in this particular area, and watch them blossom under her guidance.​ Born with a dual French/ Italian nationality, Jessica is a multilunguist witha a degree in Media Arts from Royal Holloway, She specialized in online marketing whilst working for a creative web agency in London, before she set up her own fitness business alongside working as an online marketing consultant.
Lars Christensen​ Co-Founder, Social Media Management
Lars is one of the country's top social media managers, reflected in the success and engagement of our client's social media channels. Lars is a natural marketer and has the unique skill of understanding brand communications like no other, paired with exceptional technical ability. His skill is helping companies humanise their brands, so that audiences can relate to them and feel part of their community. Finding synergies for commercial partnerships is his other forte, which has helped the brands we work with interact not only with their fans and followers, but with other key players and other businesses. Lars has a very International background, originating from Scandinavia, Germany and grew up in the Winelands in South Africa.
Joe is Digital Marketing Manager for the British Olympic Association, who successfully won GOLD for Team GB at the London 2012 Socialympics. Responsible for the development, delivery and management of the digital and social media strategy, Joe is a creative, strategic and commercial hybrid with a strong skill set in content creation & relationship management. Joe’s social media strategy for London 2012 was highly commended by industry leaders including the BBC, Huffington Post, Marketing Week & Revolution Magazine. He is a great asset to the Social Media Mentors team and loves working with clients from a variety of industries to help them develop their digital potential.​
