Terms & Conditions of Starting a CHEER PRO Team

 

Before you decide to apply to run your own CHEER PRO™ Team, make sure you fully understand how it works. If you have any questions or queries, please contact us using the online form.  The terms of running a CHEER PRO™ Team are as follows:

 

CONTRACT & ELIGIBILITY

• In order to become a CHEER PRO™ Team Coach, you must pass your Cheerobics and CHEER PRO™ Module

• All auditioned cheerleaders must pass the CHEER PRO™ qualification after attending the bootcamp

• All cheerleaders must purchase and pass the CHEER PRO™ qualification of Professional Achievement and attend the CHEER PRO™   Boot Camp (learning technique and 2 routines) + learn 1 routine onine. and pass the online theory test.

• Passing the certificate requires sending in a video performing all 3 routines (filmed in groups of 3 or 4) and taking an online test. If a cheerleader is referred she cannot take part in CHEER PRO™ bookings but she can take the tests again at no extra cost. Individual feedback is given to each cheerleader.

• There can only be ONE CHEER PRO™ team per geographical location.

• If you are contracted to start a CHEER PRO™ team on behalf of a 3rd party client and organisation, they will be covering the cost of the training and qualifications for your cheerleaders. 

 

CERTIFICATE OF PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENT

To be eligible for the CHEER PRO™ Certificate of Professional Achievement in Professional Cheerleading, cheerleaders must apply by video through their current team with a minimum of 12 cheerleaders. The  CHEER PRO™ Certificate of Professional Achievement in Professional Cheerleading tests all skill aspects and knowledge of cheerleaders including:

 

• Cheerleading technique

• Dance technique

• Performance skills

• Cheerleading knowledge

• CHEER PRO™ standards of professional cheerleading

• CHEER PRO™ principles and regulations

• Team management

• Basics of Social Media engagement

• Basics of Marketing for Sports

 

All cheerleaders (or the club / sponsor on their behalf) are required to pay for the certification which includes a 4 hour clinic, access to online learning materials, theory and practical examinations which are submitted via video. To be eligible for the certificate, cheerleaders must receive a minimum of 75 points out of 100 for each of the 2 assessments and have a valid CHEER PRO™ membership which gives them access to video tutorials at a cost of £6.99 per month.

 

​CHEERLEADER CHEER PRO™ MEMBERSHIP 

• Every cheerleader on the team must purchase CHEER PRO™ membership of £6.99 a month which will give them access to all online videos and one training session a month.

• CHEER PRO™ Team Coaches receive £2.00 for every paying member each month to cover costs of hall hire for monthly trainings.

• Non-members may attend your events by paying cash in order for you to monetize on rehearsal and training classes. You are not required to split or declare this additional income.

• CHEER PRO™ require a minimum of 15 members but you should aim to have 30-45 paying members in order to maximise on return even if they are not all have a CHEER PRO™ certificate of Professional Achievement.

• You are encouraged to use the CHEER PRO™ team as an incentive to recruit more members for your own classes and cheerleading activities. These do not have to be declared to the CHEER PRO™ managament.

 

REHEARSALS & TRAINING

• Cheerleaders must rehearse once a week (classes to them must be free of charge) + 1 rehearsal per booking

• You can run additional classes and courses in Cheerleading or any Cheerobics programme in addition to these sessions. 

 

CHEERLEADER & COACH FEES

• Cheerleaders are paid fees of min $25 per hour depending on the event length.

• CHEER PRO™ Team Coaches must take part in the performance and are paid $200-$300 depending on ther event length. If the coach decides not to perform, they must deduct the normal performance fee in order to get another cheerleader performing instead of them. Eg if your Coach fee is $200 and your cheerleaders' fee is $80 if you decide not to perform you must deduct $80.00 from $200 - this way the cheerleader gets $80 and you receive $120.

• Team Captains must invoice CHEER PRO™ by the 20th of every month for any event fees for their team. It is the Team Captain's responsibility to pay each cheerleader individually.

• In the eventuality that your CHEER PRO™ team is required to take part in an ongoing contract (such as performing over a season for a sports team) we will keep a $800.00 retainer from your fees which will be given to you after the last game or event. 
   

MARKETING & SOCIAL MEDIA

• All CHEER PRO™ teams get an individual page on our website with photos, and a bio which does not disclose coach or associated organisarion names. As an individual you may publicize that you are a CHEER PRO™ team but your website and marketing materials must not officially indicate that your organization is linked to CHEER PRO™ teams.

• Any reference to CHEER PRO™ must be tagged or linked to a Facebook page, twitter profile or website.

• Any marketing and recruitment for you CHEER PRO™ team must be exculsively be conducted via the official Twitter and Facebook pages using #YOURCITYcheerleaders as a hashtag.

• CHEER PRO™ HQ will assist and produce marketing materials for your recruitment and marketing campaigns

• You may use any available CHEER PRO™ marketing materials to promote your team on the official Twitter and Facebook pages.

• You may SHARE CHEER PRO™ posts to your other pages and personal profiles or direct people to the CHEER PRO™ pages by using the @CheerPro tags , but you must not give the impression that this is part of your existing team setup.

• You must not use the CHEER PRO™ name and brand to promote any of your own activities or pages.

• You may not enter your CHEER PRO™ team in any competition under the brand name.

 

SETUP COSTS & CERTIFICATION

• We require no setup costs for you to run your CHEER PRO™ team, however you must pass the relvant qualifications and you must host a Boot Camp and have a minimum of 12 cheerleaders with a valid CHEER PRO™ certificate of Professional Achievement. The only thing you are required to invest in is a minimum of one uniform option (min 10 uniforms, $85.00 per uniform) with matching metallic poms. These are available at a discount through Cheerobics.

 

UNIFORM & KIT

• Basic team training kits (hotpants, tops) are included in the fees of the CHEER PRO™ qualification of Professional Achievement as they must be worn for the assessment.

• Teams must purchase at least 12 units of the CHEER PRO™ Team uniform in one of the following colour schemes: silver, gold, blue, red, orange, pink, purple - with a base colour of either white or black 'Base'.

• Each 'vase' uniform comes with a belt and cropped cardigan $50 and you can purchase colour variations (shorts and boobtube) for an additional $35.00

• Clients that require additional colours will be required to pay for additional colour uniforms that you may keep for future uses.

• CHEER PRO™ uniforms may only be used for events organized through CHEER PRO™ management. You may use poms for additional purposes (such as events organised by you or competitions).

 

EXCLUSIVITY CONFLICTING ACTIVITIES

• CHEER PRO™ Teams work on a basis of mutual benefits. We help you train and develop your CHEER PRO™ team and offer to work exclusively with you in your area, in exchange - you must separate your CHEER PRO™ activities from your existing activities on your website, social media and marketing activities, nor accept work directly for your CHEER PRO™ Team.

• You may include CHEER PRO™ branding on your website, social media and marketing material and through the posted official Twitter and Facebook page using #YOURCITYCheerleaders. You may share your CHEER PRO™ team posts on your private profiles or re-post / retweet from the official pages.

• If your past clients wish to book the CHEER PRO™ team, they must go through CHEER PRO™ HQ for the booking.

• CHEER PRO™  Teams and Coaches are encouraged to run weekly Cheerobics classes to increase their membership base and attendance to workshops, training session and auditions.

• CHEER PRO™  status can be revoked once a year if terms have not been kept.
